GREENFIELD, INDIANA
Betty M. Burton, 96, of Greenfield, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away December 1, 2017.
She was born July 1, 1921 near Metamora, IL, to the late William and Sarah Christ Kern, the last surviving child of 13. Betty graduated from Metamora High School, Class of 1939. She married David Gordon Burton September 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death January 16, 1977.
She had recently resided with her daughter, Rita Trinkle. Betty was a former Girl Scout and 4H Leader. She will be dearly missed.
Betty is also survived by her ten grandchildren including, Jennifer Warner, Monica Miller, Audie and Annette Trinkle; 16 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St.
