GREENFIELD — A teenager injured in a single-car crash last week is recovering from injuries at an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Local law enforcement was called to investigate a serious crash on the morning of Nov. 24. A 17-year-old involved in the wreck was airlifted from the scene.

Now, he’s stable and expected to recover, police say. He sustained an arm injury in the accident, according to dispatch records.

The teen needed to be cut from his car after it flipped near the intersection of Remarkable Drive and McKenzie Road on Nov. 24 around 7:15 a.m., officials said.

The teen was traveling eastbound on West McKenzie Road when his vehicle went off the south side of the roadway into a field and overturned.

The teen was transported to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital via helicopter and is in the intensive care unit, officials said.

The crash is still under investigation.
