New Pal’s McKinney top camp performer

Levi McKinney, a New Palestine High School long snapper, was named one of the top performers at the Rubio Long Snapping Camp Nov. 19.

“McKinney was snapping a quick and fast ball that is like an arrow getting back to the punter. Good athlete that moves well on his feet,” said Chris Rubio.

McKinney, a senior, competed with approximately 70 participants from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina and Virginia. Snappers gathered at Olympic Community of Schools in Charlotte, N.C.

Chris Rubio is the Long Snapping instructor for Rubio Long Snapping. Over the past five years, Rubio has had over 575 long snappers go to college.
