CHARLOTSVILLE
Kenneth O. Hampton, 79, of Charlottesville, IN, was surrounded by his family when he left this earth and entered into his eternal rest on October 30, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 8, 1938, in Stonega, VA, to the late Joseph Jackson and Thelma (Dobbs) Hampton.
Kenneth retired from Bertelsmann Music Group (formerly RCA) in 2003 after 45 years of service. He was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ since 1977 and enjoyed a quiet life; taking great pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandsons.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elise (Key) Hampton; three daughters, Susan D. Cobb (Steve), Crystal R. Moore and Deanne K. Gilliam; three grand-daughters, Sarah E. Bryce (Brad), Chelsea and Claire Couture; two grandsons, Steven D. Cobb and Demetrius O. Gilliam; three great-grandsons, Aaron, Jonathan and Matthew Bryce; three brothers, Glen (Glenda) Hampton of Millsboro, VA, Ronald (Janice) Hampton of Big Stone Gap, VA, Harold (Bonnie) Hampton of Stonega, VA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jackson and Thelma Hampton; his brothers, Joseph Jackson Hampton, Jr., Gary Hampton and Randall Hampton; granddaughter, Erin E. Cobb.
No viewing is scheduled at this time. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and will be announced. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.
