NEW PALESTINE — A New Palestine woman died Wednesday night after being struck by a car, according to police.
Glenda Meharg, 56, of New Palestine, was trying to cross U.S. 52 just west of New Palestine around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by an oncoming driver.
She was rushed to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries. She later died there, police said.
The crash happened in the 7400 block of W. U.S. 52
The driver of the vehicle, Logan Beeler, 19, of New Palestine, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash Team.
