Scott A. Compton, 55, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born on November 4, 1962 in Marion, IN as the son of Charles “Leland” and Sylvia “Colleen” (Kirkpatrick) Compton.

Scott graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1981 and received his associates degree from Ivy Tech Community College.

He was an EMT and volunteer fireman for the Greenfield Fire Department for over 17 years. Scott was also an estimator for State Farm in Fort Wayne and Greenfield for over 25 years. He was a member of Brandywine Community Church and was a Road Captain with the Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club. Scott enjoyed attending antique tractor shows and car shows. He also loved spending time with his family, camping, boating, motorcycles and being outdoors.

Scott is survived by his fiancee, Anna Davis-Wickliff of Greenfield; daughters, Brittany (Bryan) Rutledge of Greenfield and Kelcey (Max) Engling of Arlington, VA; siblings, Cheryl (Richard) McCracken of Longview, TX, Charla Flynn of Carmel, IN, Renee Reed of Carmel, IN, and Doug (Connie) Compton of Fairmont, IN; grandchildren, Braydon Rutledge, Bryson Rutledge, Lyvia Engling and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Colleen Compton; brother-in-law, Pat Flynn; and nephew, Kameron Flynn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E New Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Pastor Mark Wright and Chaplain Steve Richwine will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
