GREENFIELD
Bonnie L Roland, 84, of Greenfield, Indiana died on Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017.
She was born on April 8, 1933, to Raymond and Mabel Manche in Carthage, Indiana. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1951, and married Charles Roland on August 31, 1952.
She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with family. She attended Carthage United Methodist Church and Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield.
She worked several different jobs, including jobs at Cummings Diesel, Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home, Dr. Smith’s office, and Mayhill Publications. After retiring she and her husband of 65 years spent several winters in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry, sister Rosemary, and brother Max.
She leaves behind her husband Charles, her brother, Ross (Bonnie) Manche of Knightstown; daughter Marita (Dan) Edwards of Yorktown, son Scott Roland of Greenfield, four grandsons – Brady (Lauren) Edwards of Fishers, Brandon (Abigail) Edwards of Fishers, Justin Roland of Greenfield and Clay Roland of Greenfield, and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Friday, November 10 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor David Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
