Alzheimer’s education event set at hospital

GREENFIELD — The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter is partnering with Hancock Health to bring education and support to local area residents.

At 5:30 p.m. Nov. 9, Dr. Stanley J. Szwast, medical director of geriatric mental health inpatient services at Hancock Regional Hospital, will speak about Alzheimer’s.

He will be joined by a panel consisting of an elder law attorney, a social worker, a nurse practitioner and a family member affected by Alzheimer’s for a Q&A session.

The program will be at Hancock Regional Hospital, located at 801 N. State St., Greenfield, in the lower level Keen Classroom.

The presentation starts at 5:30 p.m. and a light dinner will be served.
