CHRISNEY, IN
Mark J. Miller, 63, of Chrisney, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1954 in Greenfield as the son of Homer and Mildred (Whitesides) Miller.
He received his Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Mark married Linda M. (Marshall) on June 18, 1977 in Indianapolis.
He was a Pastor of the United Methodist Church for 35 years. He was a chaplain for the Spencer County Sheriff’s Department and worked with the Spencer County Hospice. He loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, and dedicated his life to ministering and serving others. He loved musicals and joking around.
Mark is survived by his wife Linda Miller of Chrisney, IN; sons, David (Heather) Miller of North Carolina and Matthew (Courtney) Miller of Ohio; grandchildren, Kaden, Rylan, Jared, Jonathan, Caydence, Kierstyn and Kasey; brother, Kevin (Sherie) Miller of Greenfield, IN; and sister, Dana Miller of Greenfield, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mildred Miller.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2265 W. US Hwy 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Reverend Steve Seitz will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
