GREENFIELD — A group of students from Park Chapel Christian Church encourage the community to donate 800 pounds of food in the next 48 hours.
The food will go, along with the students, to Puerto Rico, where the group will assist in clean up after Hurricane Maria devastated the Caribbean island. The group aims to take up to 800 pounds of shelf-stable food — like rice, noodles, peanut butter and snacks that won’t be crushed during travel — when they fly to the island.
Food donations may be dropped off at Park Chapel Christian Church until 10 a.m. Saturday. For more about this mission trip and its aims, see upcoming editions of the Daily Reporter.
