John Linden Huber, 85, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on May 8, 1932 in Clay County, IN as the son of Linden E. and Elizabeth (Byerly) Huber.
John attended Washington Township High School in Bowling Green, IN graduating in 1950. He proudly served in the US Army during 1952 to 1956. John married Judith Ann (Salyers) in 1952.
He was a customer engineer at IBM for 35 years before retiring in 1991. John was a member of the Greenfield American Legion Post 119. He was an avid fan of IU Basketball and enjoyed doting on his grandchildren.
John is survived by his loving wife, Judy Huber of Greenfield; children, Linda Diann (Keith) Noster of Indianapolis, Phillip Linden (Stephanie) Huber of Greenfield and Brian Kent (Toby) Huber of Greenfield; brother, Jean Huber of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Brenna Noster, Logan Noster, Sydney Huber, Wyatt Huber, Tessa Huber and Jacob Huber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linden and Elizabeth Huber; and brother, Sheldon Huber.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Wright will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield with military rites presented by the active duty.
