GREENFIELD
Matthew “Matt” Joseph Cooney, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was 33 years old. Matt was born in Houston, Texas on August 4, 1984 to Tim and Debby (Ostermeier) Cooney.
Matt loved to play guitar, and loved all types of music as well as cars, especially Subaru’s. Matt was a very special person who had a beautiful smile that truly came from his heart. He had the ability to make everyone around him laugh and smile too.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett Ostermeier, and Joseph and Dorothy Cooney.
He is survived by his mother, Debby Cooney; his father Timothy Cooney; Grandmother, Edith Ostermeier, and his Aunt and Uncle, Diana and Bill Bundy.
Celebration of Life Services for Matt Cooney are Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN. 46229 with gathering time from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 6513 W. 300 S. New Palestine, IN. 46163.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
