FORTVILLE, IN
Allan R. Wilson, 78, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home. He was born June 7, 1939 in Fortville to Virgil and Beulah (Bell) Wilson.
Allan retired from the Indianapolis News as a news distributor. He had also worked at J.I. Case Co. and had been a part-time farmer until 1975. Allan was a 1957 graduate of the old Fortville High School, loved to travel, eat out for dinner and maintain his lawn. He was a member of Cyntheanne Christian Church.
Allan is survived by his wife Linda (Bolander) Wilson, whom he married August 25, 1964; son Jeff (Julie) Wilson of Fortville; grandchildren: Jaclyn and Joseph Wilson; brothers: Aaron (Bev) Wilson, Randy (Kathy) Wilson and Rex (Lisha) Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marlene Griffey.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Allan’s life will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Cyntheanne Christian Church, Fishers, where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville at a later date.
