KENDALLVILLE, IN
Janet Marie Ramsay, 78, of Kendallville, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Mrs. Ramsay was born on December 18, 1938 in Shirley, Indiana to the late Gerald Alton and Mabel (Harris) Wright.
She married Ralph Eugene Ramsay on January 9, 1955 in Knightstown, Indiana. Gene preceded her in death on October 16, 2014.
Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Nesbitt of Auburn, Arlene and Kevin Roberts of Kendallville; sons, Chris (Cheryl) Ramsay, and Bret Ramsay, all of Kendallville; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Wright of Greenfield, Indiana; sisters, Emogene “Jeannie” Collier of New Castle, Indiana and Beverly Messick of Rim Rock, Arizona.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Lou McDaniel, Eugene Wright, Betty Delph, Byron Wright, and Vivian Jordan.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon with the funeral service following at Noon.
Gene and Janet’s 1946 Chevy pickup truck will take her to Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville for burial with her grandsons carrying her casket.
