Charles “Charlie” M. Pollard, 76, of Minster, passed away September 22, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1941 in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Lynch) Pollard.

On May 14, 1986 he married Pamela Pollard, who survives along with seven children, Debbie (Danny) Schwartz of Brownstown, IN, Greg Pollard of Sidney, Rick Pollard of London, OH, Jeff (Heather) Pollard of Sidney, Rebecca (Todd) Hazelett of Alexandria, VA, Tammie Lawson of Bargerville, IN and Bryan Sims of Sidney; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy (Ed) Williams of New Palestine, IN. He was preceded in death by son, Charles Michael Pollard; great-grandson, Blake Forte; and sister, Joann Wolverton.

Charlie was the owner and operator of Sidney Tire, Best One Tire in Sidney, and Madison County Tire in London, Ohio. He was an active participant and board member of the Salvation Army in Sidney. He was also a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge. Charlie enjoyed telling a good joke, cookouts with his family and traveling with his wife Pam. Charlie was a hard worker who loved life and was dedicated to his family. He was an amazing man with a positive outlook on life who inspired others to be the best they can be. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A Service Celebrating Charles’ Life will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, with Pastor Fred Gillenwater officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Sidney in Charles’ memory.
