FORTVILLE
Pamela D. (Thacker) Owens, 52, of Fortville, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on December 17, 1964 in Indianapolis as the daughter of Roy A. and Mary Pauline (Monroe) Thacker.
She served in the Army National Guard. Pamela married Jeff Owens, Sr. on April 28, 1993 in Fortville. She worked for Defense Finance and Accounting Service as an accounting technician for 14 years.
She enjoyed attending Rock & Roll concerts, visiting Kentucky, and hiking there. Pam liked sewing, crafting, furniture restoration, antiquing, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, planting flowers, reading, vacationing, and supporting her loved-ones’ passions.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Jeff Owens of Fortville; children, Bryan Brady of Indianapolis, Jacquelyn Brady of Indianapolis, Jeffrey Owens, Jr. of Iowa City, IA and Jacob Owens of New Castle; stepchildren, Jennifer (Brandon) Meyer of Greenwood, Jason (Emily) Owens of Fishers and Justin (Gretchen) Owens of Greenfield; father, Roy Thacker; brother, Ronald Thacker; sister, Denise Yates; nine grandchildren, Jaydon, Javan, Da’Marko, Brynn, Kendall, Conrad, Camryn, Ethan and Maximus; and mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Margie Owens of Noblesville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Thacker; sister, Debbie Simpson; and grandson, Jase Tyron Brady.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Steve Smith and Jerry Owens will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
