Limited space available in native flute workshop

INDIANAPOLIS — Create a Native American style flute and learn basic musical techniques with artist and musician, Tim Blueflint Ramel from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, 500 W. Washington St. Blueflint, of the Bad River Chippewa and Comanche, is internationally known for his hand crafted fine art flutes and jewelry. The cost for the workshop is $25 and space is limited. Tweens invited to make fidget spinners

GREENFIELD — Tweens age 8 to 12 can assemble a homemade fidget spinner from 4 to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. All materials are provided, and the event is free. Register at hcplibrary.org.

Circle of Lights Festival to accept video auditions

INDIANAPOLIS — The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 148 announces that no on-site auditions will be held for the 2017 Circle of Lights. Instead, entertainers, singers, musicians, dancers and choral groups are invited to submit two-minute video auditions from Sept. 1 through 18 at wthr.com/circleoflights. From the video submissions, 20 finalists will be selected, and the public will be able to vote for their favorite act from Sept. 22 through Oct. 1. The Circle of Lights will take place Nov. 24.
