Sherry Lee (Cronk) Ledford, 76, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 12, 1941 as the daughter of Robert and Burchie (Rice) Cronk. Sherry graduated from Knightstown High School in 1959. She married Howard D. Ledford on September 24, 1960 in Ogden, IN.
She worked for General Electric and also for Proportion-Air in McCordsville for many years before retiring. Sherry attended Evangel Christian Church and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She also liked traveling, playing cards, zip lining and parasailing.
Sherry is survived by her children, Tonia (Randolph) Miller and Steven Ledford both of Greenfield; brother, Jack Cronk and Max Cronk both of Shirley, IN; two grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Miller and Heather Miller; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sadie, Sophia and Stella; and grandpooch, Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Ledford; and her best friends, Bonnie Seaman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Larry Fannin will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Philadelphia.
