Herb society to discuss passion flower

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Herb Society will meet Sept. 7 at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 Apple St., Greenfield. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the program starts at 7 p.m.

This month’s topic is the passion flower. Those who attend will find out the origin of its name, its many uses, products made from the plant, and some of its quirks. The program is presented by Judy Laird, master gardener, master naturalist and longtime member of the Hancock Count Herb Society. Refreshments will be served.
