Run, Walk and Roll for Unity event on tap

NEW PALESTINE — Leaders of the Community School Corp. of Southern Hancock County are planning their annual anti-bullying Run, Walk and Roll for Unity event for Sept. 9.

Anyone registering before Sept. 1 will receive a free t-shirt. Shirts can be picked up Sept. 8 at New Palestine High School, the day before the event. The cost is $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Two different walks — a one-mile course at New Palestine High School and a longer 4.5-mile course with participants leaving from Doe Creek Middle School and ending at the high school — will be part of the event. Entertainment and information on bullying will be part of the event as well.

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the Walk, Run and Roll starting at 9 a.m.

People taking part in the anti-bullying event are invited to  be part of the New Palestine Lions Club parade as part of the community fall festival set for 11 a.m.  immediately following the run.

For more information on how to sign up, contact Miles Hercamp at 317-861-4463 or [email protected].
