Foundation seeks applicants for award
HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County Community Foundation seeks applications for the 2017 Martha Beckenholdt Youth Philanthropy Award. Named for long-time philanthropist Martha Beckenholdt, the award recognizes a Hancock County high school junior contributing time, talent and energy to philanthropy.
The recipient picks a Hancock County nonprofit to receive a $1,000 grant donated by the foundation.
County high school juniors applying must have a recommendation from a high school staff member or nonprofit leader. Applications must be submitted online at giveHCgrowHC.org by 4 p.m. Sept. 18.
