SHIRLEY
Candy M. Rogers, 47, of Shirley, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital following an extended illness. She was born November 3, 1969, a daughter of the late Edward E. and Sharon Kay (LaVallee) Rogers.
A 1988 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School, she worked at Metals Technologies in Shirley for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of the Shirley Christian Church. Candy loved music, movies, trivia, and enjoyed game night and other family gatherings. She was also a very loving and caring aunt. Her laugh, smile, and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Angela (Brian) Tompkins of Markleville and Pam (Jason) Faucett of Wilkinson; her nieces and nephews, Amy and Jackson Tompkins of Markleville and Julia and Brenton Faucett of Wilkinson. Also, aunts and uncles, including Rickey (Joyce) LaVallee of New Castle, Ella Mae (Jere) Riggs of
Knightstown, Darline Gross of Grant City, Doug (Lois) Rogers of Knightstown, and Elizabeth (Jim) Durham of Knightstown; several cousins and her best friends, Tisha France of Virginia and Kathy Talent of Knightstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward E. and Sharon Kay Rogers, and a nephew, Wyatt Edward Lee Tompkins.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Sickle officiating. There will be a private burial at Glen Cove Cemetery.
