Pom, dance group registration open
GREENFIELD – Registration for the Greenfield Golden Girls pom and dance group is now open for girls in grades 1 through 8. Registration is $150 for the year for residents and $162 for non-residents. Practices are held Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Memorial Building, 98 E. North St., starting August 28. Membership in Jr. Blue Fusion is open by audition on Aug. 16 for girls in grades 4 through 8. Blue Fusion registration is $180 for residents and $192 for non-residents. Amp Dance Family classes set to begin

Monthly quilt guild speaker planned
GREENFIELD — Common Threads Quilt Guild of Central Indiana meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church, 3179 N. Mt. Comfort Road. Sara Burton from Sara’s Machine Quilting will present the program, a demonstration of English paper piecing as a way of designing quilts. All are welcome. Library hosting electronics event
GREENFIELD — Teens get an opportunity to do what they can never do at home — take apart electronics — at a Teen Take-Apart activity from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Once the appliances are disassembled, use the pieces to create something new. Register to attend at hcplibrary.org.
