Royals Aquatic Club offering swim opportunities
The Eastern Hancock swim programs are offering a multitude of ways to get involved in swimming through the Eastern Hancock Aquatic Club. Opportunities including swim lessons, swim camp, Mini Royal Swim Club for elementary ages, and competitive swimming through the Eastern Hancock Aquatic Club.
The events will be conducted at the indoor pool located inside Eastern Hancock High School.
Registration for swim lessons and swim camp are Aug. 15 and 16. Registration for the swim club (Mini Royal included) are Aug. 22 and 23.

Royals golf fundraiser later this month
The Eastern Hancock baseball and softball golf outing will be Aug. 26 at Hawk’s Tail of Greenfield.
The Florida Scramble event will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Registration is at 7 a.m. The cost is $60 per person and $240 per team (four players per team).
Prizes will be awarded to the first- and last-place teams along with other prizes. A portion of the proceeds will support the Eastern Hancock baseball and softball programs.
The deadline to register is Aug. 18.

Fever sign Hamson to rest-of-season contract
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever have signed 6-foot-7 center Jennifer Hamson to a rest-of-season contract, as announced by president and general manager Kelly Krauskopf.
Hamson, signed July 9 to the first of three 7-day contracts, has been signed to complete the 2017 season with the Fever. In just under 10 minutes per game, Hamson has averaged 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks during five games last month. She scored a season-high 11 points in last Sunday’s loss at Connecticut, and has twice contributed two blocked shots on defense.
The former two-sport athlete at BYU made two starts among 25 appearances with Los Angeles as a rookie in 2015.
