See ‘Annie’ this weekend at the Ricks theater

GREENFIELD – This is the final weekend of the Ricks-Weil Theatre Co.’s production of “Annie” at the H. J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St. “Annie” is the story of the orphan girl who wins the hearts of all — except Miss Hannigan who runs the orphanage. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4, 5, 11 and 12 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 13. INDIANAPOLIS – The Buck Creek Players biennial Play-a-Part fundraiser presents “Peter Pan” Aug. 4 through 6 at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. Actors in this production bid for their parts, which sometimes results in unusual (and hilarious) casting. The production is directed by Hancock County native Scott Robinson and features Greenfield resident Scott Fleshood as the Indian Chief. Johnny Cash tribute show plays at Beef & Boards

INDIANAPOLIS – Beef & Boards presents a tribute to Johnny Cash as an eight-voice ensemble presents “Cash: Ring of Fire” now through Aug. 13.
