GREENFIELD — State and city leaders will meet in Greenfield Monday to celebrate roadwork Greenfield accomplished using a state grant.

Local lawmakers will receive a first-hand look at Greenfield’s road improvements at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Liberty Shores neighborhood on Independence Road. The public is invited to join lawmakers and city officials to learn more about Greenfield’s investments in road improvement projects.

Greenfield benefited from more than $980,000 in the first round of the state’s Community Crossings grant program. During the inaugural year, the program provided nearly $86 million in road funding to Indiana’s cities and towns.

Greenfield used its portion of the funding to repair nearly 15 miles of city streets, as well as to improve sidewalks, curbs and ramps to make them ADA-compliant.
