MAXWELL
Bruce Dale Arthur, 70, of Maxwell, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Richard A. Roudebush VA Medical Center. He was born on September 21, 1946 in Urbana, Illinois as the son of Furman W. and Nellie D. (Covey) Arthur. Bruce served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was an owner and operator of a Trucking Company for 45 years. He enjoyed fishing.
Bruce is survived by his brothers, Marvin W. Arthur of Greenfield and Mark W. Arthur of Beech Grove; sister, Janet K. Cooper of Carthage; and half-sister, Barbara Mack of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cindy Stafford and Karen White; and half-sister, Dessel Gravely.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jeri Barrett-Thomas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Curry’s Chapel Cemetery in Greenfield with military rites presented by the active duty.
