Ribbon-cutting for renovated VFW post set

GREENFIELD — After investing about $300,000 in renovations, local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post leaders are nearly ready to show off the changes.

The organization is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony for July 22 to celebrate completed renovations of its post at 529 Apple St.

Post leaders will provide sandwiches, chips and soft drinks to visitors who stop by to see the post from noon to 5 p.m. It also will offer alcoholic drink specials.

The event is open to the public.
