Margaret L. Harris, 79 of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on April 2, 1938, in New Palestine, to the late Charles and Lorena (Potter) Howell.

Margaret graduated from Morristown High School and spent her career at Thompson Industries; Brookside Corp; and Western Electric in Indianapolis until retiring in 2002.

She married the love of her life, James E. Harris on June 6, 1980. Margaret was a member of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church in Greenfield where she enjoyed attending Bible Study.

Margaret enjoyed reading; bowling; croquet; and crocheting.

Surviving Margaret is her son, Stephen Neice of Florida; stepson, James Harris Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; stepdaughters, Teresia Harris of Bradenton, Fla., Tina Harris of Cibolo, Tx., Tayrell Sedam of Indianapolis, Tanya (Joe) White of Wilkinson; brothers, John Howell of Branchville, SC, Nelson (Jean) Howell of Franklin, George Howell of Fairland, David Howell of Shelbyville, Dennis Howell of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Ruth (Danny) McClure of Shelbyville, Jo Kathleen Howell of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Margaret in death are her parents; husband, James Harris; and sister, Doris Crump.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial immediately follow at Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greenfield.
