Jerry Lee Brown, 78, of Mooreland passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital. Born March 26, 1939, in Henry County to the late Byron and Beatrice (McCoy) Brown.

Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Mooreland High School. He worked at Chrysler for 34 years retiring in 2001 and was a life long farmer retiring in 2011. Jerry loved IU basketball and high school basketball especially Blue River Valley High School. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends at Sparky’s Dog House.

Survived by daughters, Jodie Brown of Mooreland, Kellie (Joe) Freeman of Greenfield; son, Todd (Mysia) Brown of Mooreland; four grandchildren, Devon (Bryanna) Brown of Terre Haute; Dylan Freeman of Greenfield; Noah Brown of Mooreland; Tessa Freeman of Greenfield; one great-grandson, Sebastian Brown of Terre Haute; brother, Milton (Linda) Brown of Mooreland; sister, Donna (Robert) Antic of New Castle; special friend, Donna Davis and her children, Tammi White and Terri Little all of Hagerstown; several cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in- law.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Brown.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 13, a Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
