Clara M. Smith, 72, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in Indianapolis. Born February 22, 1945, in Jackson, Ky.
Survived by husband, Oniel Smith, whom she married August 3, 1963; sons, Michael (Tammy) Smith of Fortville and Kenny (Melanie) Smith of Anderson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy and Dick Smith of Jackson, Ky., and Ray Smith of Fortville; several halfbrothers and halfsisters.
Clara was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Lynn Smith; birth parents, Logan and Clara (Taulbee) Smith; adoptive parents, Elisha and Carrie Fletcher-Smith; brothers, Paul and Gene Smith; and sister, Bessie Smith.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 7, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Saturday, July 8, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
