Martha Niedenthall, 102 of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, in Greenfield. Born on August 2, 1914, in Swayzee, Ind., to the late James Sr. and Ethel Woods.
Martha graduated from Swayzee High School in 1932 and soon after moved to Greenfield. In 1936, she married Andrew J. Niedenthall, and they set about making their dreams come true of owning a farm. Martha was employed at Marsh; several banks; and most recently at Walmart as a greeter. She volunteered 10 years at Hancock Memorial Hospital. She belonged to the Center Homemakers Club; Nameless Creek Literary Club; and was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield.
Surviving Martha is her son, Jim Niedenthall Sr. of Greenfield; daughter, Jane (Steve) Bundy of Greenfield; grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Bundy of Brockport, NY; and Tracy (Brent) Montgomery of Fortville.
Preceding Martha in death are her parents, husband, Andrew Niedenthall; and brother, Dr. James Woods Jr.
Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State St, Greenfield, with Rev. Linda Brackney officiating.
