Arthur O. Emmerling, 81, of Anderson, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in Muncie. Born February 26, 1936, in Elwood, Ind., to the late Fred and Blanche (Owen) Emmerling.
Survived by children, Michael (Ginger) Emmerling of Noblesville, Tom (Terri) Emmerling of Alexandria, Robin (Curt) Simpson of Dover, Fla., Jill Emmerling of Anderson and Mitzi (Ted) Pruitt of Anderson; stepson, John “Richie” (Pam) Lindamood of Edinburgh, Ind.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann (Glenard) Hogue of Livingston, Tenn. and Madonna Padgett of Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Emmerling in 2014; stepsons, David and Douglas Lindamood; brother, Michael Emmerling and grandson, Craig Lindamood.
A Celebration of Art’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, at The Bridge Church in Fortville. Friends may call the same day from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
