FORTVILLE — A team of administrators from the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation have signed an agreement with school officials from Anshan, China, to expand the international exchange program.
Anshan is interested in sending students in grades 4 through 8 to the district.
The team of administrators included Dr. Tim Long, Director of Operations; Mrs. Maria Bond, Director of Community Relations; Mr. Casey Dodd, assistant principal of Mt. Vernon Middle School; Mrs. Stephanie Miller, principal of McCordsville Elementary School; and Heather Noesges, principal of Fortville Elementary School.
While in Anshan, the team toured the accommodations for Mt. Vernon students and teachers who will be participating in the exchange program. Mt. Vernon administrators encourage parents to consider sending their students to Anshan or hosting a student or teacher from China during their stay in Indiana.
