Robert L. Rogers

Robert L. Rogers, 88, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born on March 24, 1929, in Greenville, OH, to the late Fred and Hazel (Huber) Rogers.

Bob graduated in 1947, from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Ind., and served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He married the love of his life Norma (Bussell) Rogers on December 31, 1950.

Bob spent 43 years of his career working at Danner’s/3D in many roles including Vice President and later as a car salesman at Inskeep Ford in Greenfield. He was a longtime member of the Greenfield Rotary Club; Masonic Lodge F&AM 101; Order of the Eastern Star; and Bradley United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed playing cards and dominoes; IndyCar and Nascar Races; Colts; Pacers; IU; and Butler Basketball. He also loved his grandchildren and going to their activities.

Surviving Bob is his wife, Norma Rogers of Greenfield; son, Jerry (Julie) Rogers of Greenfield; daughter, Janice (Rick) Johnston of Greenfield; brother, Jack Rogers of Cadiz, KY; sister, Fredonna Sinkhorn of New Castle; and grandchildren, Derek, Shelley, David & Jennifer.

Preceding Bob in death are his parents, brothers, Howard and Earl Rogers; and sister Lillian Rice.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 12, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Brackney officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield with military honors presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
