GREENFIELD — First Presbyterian Church’s annual Strawberry Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the city parking lot south of the church, 116 W. South St.
Advance tickets are $3 and available at McCleerey’s Sporting Goods, 22 S. State St., and Ye Olde Head Shoppe, 949 N. State St. Tickets are $4 the day of the festival.
The festival features 1,500 pieces of shortcake baked in the church kitchen and served under the festival tent with strawberries, shortcake, ice cream and a side of live entertainment.
Since the festival began in 1984, the church has used festival proceeds, usually $2,000 to $3,000, to donate to a handful of organizations that serve the community.
