Students show off work at art exhibit

HANCOCK COUNTY — Art students from Hancock County’s four school districts put their talents on display during the recent annual Hancock County Art Educators Student Art Exhibit.

This year’s event took place at Eastern Hancock High School and showcased hundreds of pieces of artwork from county artists.

Each year, a senior is selected by county art teachers to represent his or her school district as the winner of the Hancock County Art Educators student art award.

Kendra Lobb was the New Palestine High School winner. Mariah Moore was chosen for Mt. Vernon High School, Madison Smith-Holden was selected for Eastern Hancock High School and Kaitelyn Happel represented Greenfield-Central High School.

The exhibit took place from April 27, through April 29 for elementary and high school students to show some of the artwork they have completed in school.
