To the editor:
Although any of us who know the amazing work Linda Hart has done at Hancock County Senior Services (HCSS) knew this time would come, the announcement of her retirement is still a bit jarring. I only served on the board for a brief time but came to know the dedication Linda has for the mission of HCSS.
She has put her heart and soul into making this organization the dynamic servant of the Hancock County community it is.
In subsequent years after serving on the board, I have needed the services of Hancock Area Rural Transit. And I am not as yet a senior. It is through Linda’s foresight that I have had the opportunity to use “transportation,” as the able operators in the office call it.
In her quiet unassuming way, Linda has left an indelible mark on HCSS. This positive mark will last for many years after she has left her leadership role. Thank you, Linda.
