Helen R. Moore Narmore, 85, of Fountaintown, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Morristown Manor. She was born on April 15, 1932, in Rush County as the daughter of Chester A. and Anna (Power) Harper.

She graduated from Rushville High School in 1951. Helen married Ellis Ralph Narmore, Jr. on November 29, 2002, in Shelby County.

She worked for Western Electric for many years before retiring. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers of America. Helen loved gardening, housekeeping and feeding and watching hummingbirds. She was known for her beautiful gardens.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ellis Narmore of Fountaintown; daughter, Carolyn (Donald) Conner of Fountaintown; son, Michael Moore of Fountaintown; sister, Violet Fern Miller of Richmond, Ind.; five grandchildren, Shelley, Melanie, Erica, Jeffrey and Craig; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carrol Max Moore; son, Christopher Moore; sisters, Mary E. Moore, Dortha Benham, Bertha Copley, Martha Stephen, Betty Loyd; and brother, Clarence Harper.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Randall Parker will be officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington, IN.
