Restaurant Inspections – May 10

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

April 24

Los Agaves Grill

Location: 5965 W. Broadway St., McCordsville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R – chicken/beef that is portioned and by grill in ice is not cold enough, corrected; NC – pipes leaking under three-compartment sink and dish machine, to be corrected by Aug. 1.

Village Pantry

Location: 5964 W. Pendleton Pike, McCordsville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R – food in walk-in cooler that requires date-marking such as opened lunch meats are not marked with a discard date, corrected.

Indulge

Location: 10 S. Main St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Huck’s Convenience Food & Fuel

Location: 322 E. Broadway St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – must date-mark Landshire sandwiches when removed from freezer, corrected; C – expired lunch meat, corrected.

Panda Bear

Location: 21 S. Main St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R – must wash hands when changing tasks and returning to raw meats, touching equipment after handling raw meat, corrected; NC/R – clean handles of freezers and inside freezer, equipment/table surfaces to remove debris/grease, clean grill grates, to be corrected by July 1; NC/R – do not store clean knives with dirty knives, clean magnetic strip before returning clean knives for storage, corrected; NC/F – repair leak at three-compartment sink, to be corrected by July 1.
