Sarah Grace Overby, 17, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She was born on February 7, 2000, in Indianapolis as the daughter of Marty L. and Kim D. (Arbeiter) Overby.
She was a senior at Greenfield-Central High School, where she was active in choir.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved adventure. She was full of life and had a love for people. She was extremely caring and she brought sunshine into our lives. Sarah was very creative and an amazing artist.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Marty and Kim Overby; brother, Jerrod L. Overby of Greenfield; sisters, Jessica D. (Zach) Darr of Jerseyville, Ill. and Emily A. (John) Nash of Greenfield; and grandmothers, Gayle D. Sumrell of Cumming, GA, Phyllis J. Leedy of Franklin, Ind. and Dawn Arbeiter of Freedom, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Larry A. Arbeiter and James R. Overby.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. Pastor Roger Kinion will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
