FORTVILLE – The Mt. Vernon School Board this week appointed a new member to its board.
Beth Smith will finish the remaining 3.5 years of Jason Shelton’s term.
Shelton is moving out of the district and must give up his seat on the board.
Smith starts her new position in June.
