The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

April 7

White Castle

Location: 2253 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — sanitizer in sanitizer bucket used to wipe down food-contact surfaces is not at the proper concentration, corrected; NC — ice scoop for ice machine needs to be stored so as protected and on clean surface, not on ice machine, corrected; C — employees need to wash hands/change gloves when changing tasks that enable gloves to become contaminated, corrected.

Location: 526 Wilson St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine
