Linda L. Campbell, 77, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, in hospice care at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on December 10, 1939, at Mohawk, Ind., as the daughter of Voyne V. and Ella Mae (Brooks) Crump.

She married Vennis F. “Vince” Campbell on June 13, 1970, at the home of Rev. Wallace Gardner near Carthage.

Linda was a member of Sigma Beta Sorority, RHO Chapter, since 1972. She served her sorority holding several offices including Chapter President, Lieutenant Governor and Governor of Province II. She was a member of Greenfield Christian Church. She attended Greenfield schools. Linda worked as a pharmacy technician at Community East Hospital, Indianapolis for many years before retiring in 1992.

Linda is survived by her husband, Vennis “Vince” Campbell of Greenfield; son, Robert W. “Bobby” (Amy) Campbell of Greenfield; daughters, Leanne (Kevin) Woods of Greenfield and Lori L. Dethridge of Homer, Ind.; brother, David L. (Claudia) Sylvester of Florida; sister, Deanne Dunbar of Indianapolis; stepson, James A. (Jill) Campbell of Versailles, Ind.; stepdaughters, Ginger S. Garcia and Elizabeth A. “Libby” (Tom) Neu of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey (Pam) Yenowine; stepfather, Lee Sylvester; stepson, David W. Campbell; and grandson, James S. Dethridge.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A private graveside service will take place on Friday, May 5, at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Reverend Frank Everett will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
