Janice “Jan” Faye Hamm, 74, of Holiday, Fl., passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She died at Marliere Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey, Fl., surrounded by all of her children. She was born November 4, 1942, in Shirley, In., and was the youngest child.

Jan never missed an episode of the t.v. show Survivor, enjoyed crocheting, and reading. She was also an avid dog lover throughout her life and had a Teacup Chihuahua, Dakota, at the time of her death.

Surviving are her children, Cynthia D. (Vaughn) Bayne (fiancé: Brent Bayne) of Palm Bay, Fl., Caren D. (Vaughn) Miller (son-in-law: R. Owen Miller) of Lake Mary, Fl., Franklin E. Vaughn of Melbourne, Fl., and Christopher J. “Joe” Hardyman (daughter-in-law: Leslie) of Holiday, Fl. Also surviving are her two sisters, Wanda M. Oakes of Robinson, IL., Louise L. Hopkins of New Castle, In.; her three grandchildren, Sean R. Bayne, Joscelyn R. Hardyman, and M. Logan Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jan is proceeded in death by her parents, George Franklin and Lula E. (Logan) Hamm; son-in-law, Edward L. Bayne, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Kathi A. (Trimble) Vaughn.

Jan’s wish was to be cremated and that there were to be no funeral or memorial service in her honor. It is the desire of her children to honor those wishes. Her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, IN.
