HANCOCK COUNTY — Music teacher Carol Rosenthal conducted her annual music recital March 5 at Zion Lutheran Church in New Palestine. Her students performed solos and duets on piano, organ and violin.
Students Audra Bloomer and Katie Gunn recently played piano solos in the Indiana State School Music Association’s district assessments. Audra received a Gold rating in Group V. Katie received a Gold rating in Group I, advancing to state assessments where she received another Gold rating with a perfect score.
Refreshments at the event reflected the music of the recital, with “Stormy Sea” blue punch, cotton candy clouds and a grand piano cookie, Rosenthal wrote in an email.
