Officers begin patrolling downtown Greenfield

GREENFIELD — Two police officers have started patrolling Greenfield’s downtown.

The city hired Dennis Hoppes and Donald Mullins last month as part-time officers who will enforce parking in the downtown district.

Their first shifts began this week.

In addition to parking enforcement, the officers will also assist downtown business owners with security concerns and traffic complaints as needed.
