District offers testing for new students

GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central Schools will offer an opportunity for students, entering grades 1 through 9, who will be new to Greenfield-Central schools for the 2017-18 school year to be assessed for High-ability programming. High-ability courses provide instruction that is one or more years above grade level and uses more frequent high-level thinking strategies.

Greenfield-Central uses data from two different assessments as qualifying scores for high-ability pathways in English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science.

An assessment session will be held 8 a.m. May 6 at Greenfield Intermediate School, 204 W. Park Ave., Greenfield. Time needed to complete the session will vary. For more information and to register for the session, please contact the Greenfield-Central Administration Center at 317-462-4434. The deadline to register for this assessment session will be Friday.
