GREENFIELD — Regreening Greenfield will offer tree seedlings at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hancock County Courthouse Plaza, 9 E. Main St., while supplies last. Varieties include bur oak, red pine, Virginia pine, sweetgum, sycamore, sugar maple, and 200 redbud seedlings. Donations are welcome.
A raffle and silent auction will feature a variety of larger species donated by Charlotte Creek Nursery. Proceeds benefit Regreening Greenfield tree-planting projects around the city.
The Arbor Day Celebration supports the nonprofit organization’s mission to contribute to the quality of community life through the preservation and restoration of the city’s urban forest.
