GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Solid Waste Management District plans a recycling event for items that should not be thrown away.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29, residents may drop off items at Covance, 671 S. Meridian Road, Greenfield. For hazardous waste, the cost is $5/carload; electronics, $5/carload; projection screen TVs, $20; $10 fee for TVs 32 inches and larger and $5 fee for TVs and monitors 32 inches or smaller; document shredding, $3/box; tires are $4.50 off rim and $5 on rim; latex paint $1/quart, $2/gallon or $3 for five gallons.
Shoe donations and expired non-perishable food will also be accepted.
